Vancouver Airport Authority President and CEO Craig Richmond delivered his first address to The Vancouver Board of Trade on Oct. 23, 2013.

Richmond's presentation, YVR: Connections That Work, told the dynamic story of why Vancouver International Airport matters to our provincial economy. Through four stories, the presentation demonstrated how YVR creates jobs, helps local businesses grow and keeps our province connected to the global economy.

Richmond took over the role of President and CEO of Vancouver Airport Authority on July 2, 2013. He oversees the effective operation and strategic vision for the future of YVR.

In 2012, YVR welcomed 17.6 million people, facilitated more than 296,000 aircraft take-offs and landings and handled 228,000 tonnes of cargo. Canada’s second-busiest airport employs more than 23,000 people and is a key economic generator for B.C.
