At the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, the Kitsilano Chamber of Commerce membership voted to join The Vancouver Board of Trade, wind-down Kitsilano Chamber of Commerce and amend the bylaws to permit transfer of membership data to The Vancouver Board of Trade.

If you were a member the Kitsilano Chamber of Commerce, your membership was automatically transfered to The Vancouver Board of Trade unless you contacted the Kitsilano Chamber of Commerce prior to May 23 and requested your membership not be transferred.

  1. Will my membership fees increase? No, your membership fees will remain the same for the next five years. They may be subject to a nominal annual cost of living adjustment.
  2. What happens to my Chamber of Commerce Group Health Insurance Plan? As The Vancouver Board of Trade is an accredited Board of Trade, your Chamber of Commerce Group Health Insurance Program will continue seamlessly with no interruption in service. All your current contact and reference numbers will remain the same.
  3. What will happen to my merchant credit card discount benefit? Your merchant credit card discount benefit will continue seamlessly with no interruption in coverage.
  4. What other member benefits are available? The Vancouver Board of Trade provides members with exclusive access to a unique suite of savings. The Small Business Council (SBC) works to understand the trends, forces and issues impacting small business and developing programming and policy to address these issues. The Company of Young Professionals(CYP) is a leadership development program which engages those under 35 through leadership, networking, development, and volunteerism opportunities.

The Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) is a mentorship program that engages final year post secondary students with established industry professionals to develop their skills in the areas of mentorship, leadership, networking, and volunteerism.
