Media Release Executive Event Production, March 30, 2004 Food Network Canada is official show sponsor of EAT! Vancouver, The Everything Food + Kitchen ShowTM — April 23-25, 2004 at BC Place Stadium
Executive Event Production is pleased to announce that Food Network Canada is now the official show sponsor of Western Canada’s largest consumer food event, EAT! Vancouver, The Everything Food + Kitchen ShowTM. As the destination for Canadians who crave inspiring food programming, Food Network Canada brings viewers into the kitchens of passionate chefs and creative hosts, hits the road for food travel and adventure, and delivers behind-the-scenes access to the food industry. The result is a schedule of the best food programming from the U.S. alongside great Canadian series specials, in addition to popular shows from Britain and outside North America.
Throughout the three days of EAT! Vancouver, the Food Network Canada Celebrity Stage will feature such celebrities as Christine Cushing, host of Christine Cushing Live! on Food Network Canada (returning to EAT! Vancouver by huge popular demand), and Rob Feenie, host of New Classics with Chef Rob Feenie on Food Network Canada and owner of Vancouver’s celebrated Lumiere Restaurant and the new Feenie’s Grill. Christine and Rob will be joined on stage by many notable Vancouver chefs and cookbook authors. Celebrity chefs, popular local restaurants, wineries, food and beverage manufacturers, cookbook authors, retailers, artisans, and many others from the culinary world will come together once again for a three-day public extravaganza at EAT! Vancouver, The Everything Food + Kitchen ShowTM. This second annual event at BC Place Stadium was created in direct response to the popular and growing trends of at-home cooking and entertaining. EAT! Vancouver encompasses unique food experiences, opportunities to learn behind-the-scenes culinary magic from professional chefs, dynamic entertainment through celebrity chef cooking demonstrations and intense culinary competitions, and fantastic shopping. Visitors will be able to watch the excitement of heated competitions at the "Iron Chef"-style Citytv’s Master Chef Competition, the EAT! Vancouver Ice Carving Competition and the Knorr/Canadian Culinary Federation’s Junior Culinary Competition. Food and cooking-related seminars will abound on the Terasen Gas Seminar Stage. Come for lunch and stay for dinner — EAT! Vancouver’s Bite of Vancouver celebrates the diverse talents and creations of Vancouver’s own culinary artisans: the chefs of favourite Lower Mainland restaurants. Visitors will be able to sample dishes from local restaurants, which will be offering bite-size portions of their signature entrees for a nominal charge ($1.20 to $3). Be sure to enjoy tasting the latest releases by vintners and brewers in The Wine & Beer Tasting Pavilion. While at EAT! Vancouver, visitors will also enjoy shopping in the marketplace of nearly 200 exhibit booths. Producers, manufacturers, retailers and food artisans will showcase a wide assortment of unique products for eating, drinking, cooking, entertaining, and outfitting a kitchen. Exhibits will include everything from gourmet foods to kitchen accessories, and barbecues to beverages.
