Red Cross Humanitarian Award recipients announced
Lt.-Gen. Roméo Dallaire presented a compelling keynote speech as four prestigious humanitarian awards were presented at the 3rd Annual Power of Humanity Awards dinner, held at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel. The Bell City Chase kicked off in Vancouver on May 15, 2004, with nearly 200 teams of two participating. Over 80 per cent of the teams completed the course, with the winners finishing in an amazing three hours and nine minutes. Orcas in the City unveiled at Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre
The eight-foot-tall Orca in the City sculptures were unveiled at a Spirit of VancouverTM ceremony sponsored by the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre. From May until October 12, 2004, a total of 65 Orcas will make their home outdoors at various locations throughout the city of Vancouver.
