Christmas at Canada Place is set to celebrate the Twelve Days of Christmas from December 12 to 23, 2004 at the cruise ship terminal at Canada Place. This festive community event has become Vancouver’s largest indoor holiday celebration. The Vancouver Aquarium presents Aquatica, a New Year's eve celebration and fundraiser

City of Vancouver first municipality to participate in "20%" physical activity challenge
The City of Vancouver is the first municipal jurisdiction in B.C. to work with 2010 LegaciesNow and the provincial government to help meet the target of increasing physical activity amongst its citizens and employees by 20 per cent by 2010. "As host of the 2010 Games, it only makes sense... that the City and its residents take the lead in getting active and increasing our fitness levels," said Mayor Larry Campbell. Read media release.
