The Arts Club Theatre Company is pleased to present Cabaret, a saucy musical with a decadent edge. Deliciously gaudy and sinfully bawdy, willkommen to the Kit Kat Club — a brassy and carefree world that is doomed to crumble.

Set in Berlin in the early 1930s, Sally Bowles performs in the smoky spotlight, unaware that people’s lives are about to be changed forever with the rise of the Nazi regime. Featuring the bold show-stoppers Willkommen, The Money Song, and the title song, Cabaret will transport you back to a time when the gin was dry and the Emcee slithered in the night.

John Mann (Spirit of the West) will star as the Emcee, the sexy and menacing commentator, who delivers some of the show’s most potent political lines and serves as a focal point for the darkness enveloping the other characters and Germany itself.

Director Bill Millerd states, "The role of the Emcee requires a performer with both physical and emotional intensity, and John Mann will bring those magnetic qualities to our production. The Arts Club audiences who witnessed his electric performance in last season’s Miss Saigon will not want to miss this one."

Cabaret stars Sara-Jeanne Hosie as Sally Bowles, David Adams as Herr Schultz, Bob Frazer as Cliff, Nicola Lipman as Fraulein Schneider, and John Mann as the Emcee, with Jennifer Bishop, Lauren Bowler, Jeremy Crittenden, Ian Farthing, Sylvie Charlotte Gosse, Jackée Guillou, Kiara Leigh, Ryan Reid, Leon Willey, Robyn Wong, Seana Lee Wood.
