Media Release July 6, 2002, Arc2 Intertainment Arc2 Intertainment presents FMA Vancouver 2006 — a charity benefit gala uniting fashion, music and art on one stage
Arc2 Intertainment unveils a new show and a new name for Volume Ten, the finale of the Stripped Charity Concert Series. For the last two years entitled "Fashion Rocks Vancouver," the newly branded "FMA Vancouver" takes place on September 30, 2006 at The Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts. The name has been changed to avoid confusion with "Fashion Rocks London" by the Prince’s Trust Foundation in the United Kingdom. FMA Vancouver reflects the evolution of the concept that unites live runway fashion with live music and live art all on one stage. "By incorporating the initials of fashion, music and art in one title, the event is recognizing the unique collaboration of designers, musicians as well as artists, while also opening up the possibilities to expand the show and the concept internationally," says creator and producer, Andy Chu. "We would love to have an FMA Shanghai or FMA New York, for example."
Chu continues, "This year, for the first time, we are pleased to showcase stunning collections of celebrity designers from New York and Los Angeles, as well as introducing the best and brightest of our local talent. It is such an amazing opportunity to recognize all the artists who devote so much to their talent, while also a chance to give back to the community in support of worthy causes." A live webcast of the show can be viewed at www.arc2.tv, as well as video highlights of the Stripped presentation. The complete series of 2004 and 2005 are broadcast at iTune Podcast and Arc2 TV.
