The Village is Tilting: Dancing AIDS in Malawi incorporates a series of powerful masks, life-size photographs, video interviews and dance footage to document the depth of awareness and cultural response to the AIDS pandemic by rural Malawians. Comedy Courage is seeking courageous and comedic individuals with mental health diagnoses or issues to apply for a free three-month comedic training course. The program finale is a gala fundraising event where the students perform before a live audience. Global BC's fundraiser for Stanley Park Restoration Fund
Beginning Monday, January 8 through Friday, January 12, 2007, Global BC is asking viewers to donate funds to help out with the clean up and restoration of Stanley Park. A team of volunteers will take calls from viewers and companies all week who would like to make contributions to the Stanley Park Restoration Fund, and viewers can also make donations via Coast Capital Savings. In addition, Global BC is encouraging companies and corporations to help out. More...
