CBC Radio wins prestigious industry awards
CBC RADIO in Vancouver has recently been recognized at three major industry competitions, the only B.C. station to win awards at these prestigious international events. CBC RADIO won awards for broadcasting excellence at the 2003 International Radio Festival of New York, the 2002 Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) of Canada Awards and the 2003 Webby Awards.
"At CBC Radio, we are committed to bringing high-quality, relevant programming to our audience," says Joan Andersen, Regional Director of CBC Radio in British Columbia. "These awards reflect the talent, dedication and integrity of our journalists and the work that they are doing here at the CBC. Being recognized for these efforts by the international radio community is a tremendous honour for the CBC Radio team in Vancouver."
