The British Columbia economy is continuing to grow strongly. The high level of demand from the U.S. and Asian economies, strong residential and non-residential construction in B.C. and the impacts of B.C. provincial government policies and achievements over the past several years are contributing to robust economic growth.
Will this momentum continue? What global developments might affect the situation? Will China continue to pace the world in economic growth and keep demanding our exports and our transportation capacity? Will the U.S. economy have a soft or hard landing? Will the strong pace of construction here and the run-up to the 2010 Olympic Games carry on leading B.C.’s economic growth?
Our panel of experts will weigh in with their perspectives on these issues and more as B.C. faces the prospects of 2008.
