YVR: Welcoming the world

In a few short months, Vancouver will be welcoming the world to British Columbia and for many arriving for the 2010 Winter Games their very first welcome will be at YVR. President and CEO Larry Berg will talk about what the airport is doing to ensure that 2010 participants’ initial impression is an exceptional one. YVR is British Columbia’s airport, and Berg will also describe what the airport is doing to connect British Columbians to the Games. 

In 2009, the Airport Authority achieved a milestone with the completion of its $1.4 billion capital program. Berg will discuss how the new facilities position YVR for the future and help keep British Columbia competitive in today’s global economy.  While YVR has not been immune from the economic turbulence of the last year, he will also report on a number of policy changes that should result in smoother flying ahead.
