Celebrate another memorable year at the annual Spirit of Vancouver® Christmas Lunch and Year-End Wrap Up and join us for a special presentation of the Police Officer of the Year and Fire Fighter of the Year Awards.

On hand to carve up 2009 will be our always-entertaining media panel, who will serve up the year's news stories and share what they think is in store for 2010.

The annual Christmas Lunch is a great opportunity to kick off the holiday season with your staff while enjoying a delightful lunch (including turkey and all the trimmings), door prizes and surprise entertainment.

Police Officer of the Year (Presented by ICBC)
Detective Constable Lisa Byrne, a nine-year veteran of the Vancouver Police Department, is a respected gang expert and recently served as file coordinator for Project Rebellion, an initiative that targeted Vancouver’s most violent gang members resulting in the arrests of the entire Sanghera Group, the crime family responsible for many of the city’s drive-by shootings in 2008.

Fire Fighter of the Year (Presented by the Justice Institute of British Columbia)
Mike Canaday joined the Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services in 2001 and has been involved extensively with a number of community and volunteer initiatives including the World Police & Fire Games, the BC Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund Camps and Fire Fighters Without Borders, an organization dedicated to helping outfit and train Fire Fighters in third world countries.

Bring non-perishable food items in support of the Vancouver Food Bank for your chance to win 4 VIP tickets to the Rogers Santa Claus Parade plus a one-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver!
