Dr. Donald Rix, John Furlong and Bruce Hall to receive honorary doctorates for their contributions to British Columbia
 
NEW WESTMINSTER – The late Dr. Donald B. Rix, noted medical professional, businessman and philanthropist; John Furlong, CEO, Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and; the former Resort Municipality of Whistler Fire Chief and JIBC Board of Governors Chair Bruce Hall, will be the recipients of Honorary Doctor of Laws Degrees, to be will be conferred at the JIBC’s June 22, 2010 Convocation.

The honorary degrees affirm and recognize the significant contributions of Rix, Furlong and Hall as leaders in the community and the positive impact that they have made on the quality of life in the province and across the country.
