AMBASSADORS CLUB
(Contact: Maria Braungart)
To welcome new members into The Board of Trade by acquainting them with The Board's services and encouraging them to get engaged. Through personal calls and attendance at receptions, the Club acts as The Board's "Ambassadors". Feedback generated by the Ambassadors Club helps The Board focus its programs on the needs of its members. The Ambassadors Club meets on the first Wednesday of every month over breakfast with guest speakers. They are responsible for Business After Business™ trade shows. Ambassadors also act as facilitators at Networking Roundtable sessions.

The committee pursues enhanced cross-border communications, understanding, friendship, policies and positive actions.

CYP and LEADERS OF TOMORROW MENTORSHIP PROGRAM™

The Vancouver Board of Trade's Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) Mentorship Program™ brings together post-secondary students and industry experts to develop the leadership and managerial skills of Vancouver's future business leaders. Through the genergous donations of our sponsors, LOT selects the top 100 students in their final year from post-secondary institutions. Once accepted into the program, Vancouver's future business leaders develop their skills further in mentorship, volunteerism, networking and leadership.

 

THE COMPANY OF YOUNG PROFESSIONALS™

The Company of Young Progessionals™ (CYP) welcomes young professionals under 32, including entrepreneurs, managers, accountants, lawyers, articling students, real estate and investment professionals and graduates of the Leaders of Tomorrow Mentorship Program (LOT). CYP provides trememndous value through membership in The Board by giving memebers the opportunity to attend hot-topic events, opening doors to meeting prominent business leaders, and fostering leadership through engagement. Members will also experience extensive community involvement with key issues within The Board's many committes and task forces.

To ensure that: there is a unity of purpose among transportation stakeholders, and to try, where possible, to reconcile differences between parties; the region as a whole is being properly addressed; there is an appropriate balance being given between the movement of goods and services versus the movement of people; and corresponding action is being taken on a timely basis.
