Highlight your organization with an article in Sounding Board
How to submit
Sounding Board, the official newspaper of The Vancouver Board of Trade, is an important communication vehicle for Board members. The newspaper keeps members up to date on Board initiatives as well as providing information on member activities. With a primary circulation of 12,000 and an estimated monthly readership of 30,000, Sounding Board is a valuable source of information for members as well as Vancouver’s business community.
Board members are welcome to submit an article to Sounding Board for publication. Members can focus on one aspect of their organization or provide a general synopsis of their services. Article content is left to the member’s discretion, but typically articles contain a newsworthy or informational angle. Visit the Sounding Board Archives for samples of previous member submissions.
Articles must be no longer than 400 words in length and should be accompanied by a content-related photograph. We accept digital photographs in TIF, JPG or EPS format with a high resolution, minimum 200 DPI and over. Hard copy photographs are also acceptable; please indicate if you want the photograph returned.
Deadlines for submissions are the first of the month for next month’s issue (i.e., August 1 for September’s issue). While we try to publish articles as quickly as possible, we cannot guarantee which issue an article will appear in due to space constraints from advertising and prior member submissions. However, we do keep on file member articles and will use them at the first available opportunity.
