Who can join the Small Business Council (SBC)?
The SBC is open to all Members of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade. Best of all, it's free to participate. To get started, sign up to the SBC mailing list and stay up-to-date on the activities of the SBC.
What does the SBC do?
More than two-thirds of Greater Vancouver Board of Trade Members are defined as a small business (under 50 employees). These companies face unique challenges in many areas, including taxation, access to capital, breadth of knowledge within companies, and the acquisition of further knowledge.
The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade recognizes that we have an important role to play in growing and strengthening Greater Vancouver's small business community. The SBC is one of our four Signature Programs, which provide tools and resources for our Members.
How can I get more involved with the SBC?
Attend an upcoming SBC Event and hear from industry leaders. Join our Linkedin Group and connect with other small business owners. Contribute to the conversations online by following @boardoftrade on Twitter and use #SBCouncil to tweet, and Instagram your thoughts on small business. We also welcome Greater Vancouver Board of Trade Members to apply to volunteer with the SBC in May and November annually.
