Immediate Past Chair makes Top 100 list

December 04, 2012

The Vancouver Board of Trade’s Immediate Past Chair, Wendy Lisogar-Cocchia, has been named one of Canada’s top 100 female business leaders.

The Women’s Executive Network (WXN) issued its annual list of Canada’s Most Powerful Women on Dec. 4, identifying Lisogar-Cocchia as a winner of a CIBC Entrepreneurs Award.

Lisogar-Cocchia was chosen for her work as President and CEO of Century Plaza Hotel & Spa and Absolute Spa Group. The award, which recognizes women who own and operate businesses, is judged on four criteria: management role, vision and leadership, corporate performance, and community service.

Vancouver Board of Trade Governor Sue Paish, CEO of LifeLabs, is also in the WXN Hall of Fame, after winning a Top 100 Award three times. During her year as chair, Paish founded The Vancouver Board of Trade’s popular Women’s Leadership Circle.
