Bridging the Divide: Finding Common Ground in a Divisive World

Bridging the Divide: Finding Common Ground in a Divisive World

At a time when it feels like our world is increasingly divisive, talking about different beliefs and perspectives can feel frustrating at best and almost impossible at worst. But is avoiding a conversation because it feels uncomfortable the answer?

We can bridge this divide and create opportunities to be understood and to better understand others and the different perspectives they hold. And in the process, we can learn more about ourselves. In this workshop we will explore:

  • The ground rules for constructive debate and discussion.
  • How we can find common ground to build connections.
  • Leveraging curiosity and empathy as conversation superpowers.
  • Choosing to listen and learn rather than win or agree.
  • The psychological benefits of conflict resolution (and how to do it!).
