Greater Vancouver Board of Trade is pleased to be working with Indigenous Corporate Training Inc. to offer Indigenous Consultation & Engagement: Level 2 training. Indigenous Corporate Training is generously providing this course at a subsidized rate for our members.

  • How to anticipate questions and respond appropriately
  • The importance of relationships, cultural protocols and respectful interactions
  • How to conduct respectful, effective and culturally informed consultation with Indigenous communities
  • What meaningful accommodation looks like, how to ensure it meets community needs and expectations, and assess consultation-related risks.
  • The differences between consultation and engagement, and when each approach is required.
  • The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the business case for Indigenous engagement.
