Ken Sim

The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade welcomes Mayor Ken Sim back for his second annual State of the City presentation.

In his address to the business community, Mayor Sim will detail his vision for Vancouver’s future, emphasizing a visionary agenda aimed at enhancing Vancouver's economic vitality, promoting affordability for businesses and residents, creating housing solutions and improving public safety.

As the business community works with City Hall to position Vancouver as a prime destination for global events and to become an inclusive and affordable city for all, the Mayor will discuss ways Vancouver can become the best place to live, work and do business.

 

About the speaker:

Ken Sim was sworn in as the 41st Mayor of Vancouver on November 7th, 2022. Mayor Sim is a proud Vancouverite, having been born and raised in Vancouver.

He is an accomplished entrepreneur and the co-founder of two successful Vancouver-based companies: Rosemary Rocksalt and Nurse Next Door. Professionally, Mayor Sim holds an FCPA (FCA) designation and has been a speaker at post secondary institutions and conferences globally. Sim is a two-time recipient of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Pacific Region) in the Emerging Entrepreneur category (2006) and in the Healthcare Services category (2016).

Mayor Sim is committed to delivering on the major issues facing Vancouver including affordability, public safety, and mental health and addictions. Sim intends to lead a City that prioritizes inclusivity, collaboration, and Indigenous Reconciliation.
