Hon. Rona Ambrose

The Conservative Party of Canada was formed in 2003 and governed Canada for almost a decade. Following the result of October’s Federal election, the party will hold a leadership race while its parliamentary caucus acts as the Official Opposition in the House of Commons.

The Honourable Rona Ambrose, Leader of the Opposition and interim Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, will talk about the challenges and opportunities she sees on the horizon for Canada in 2016 and the broader future of the party as it looks ahead to the next election. Ms. Ambrose will also discuss the party’s continued support for growth in Canada’s energy sector, including capitalizing on export opportunities and expanding LNG infrastructure on Canada’s coasts; while maintaining and building upon our strong environmental record.

Following Ms. Ambrose’s remarks, she will be joined by The Globe and Mail’s Gary Mason for a moderated discussion.
